Meet the new Wasatch GOP Vice-Chair, Jared Rigby!

On Tuesday, March 7th the Wasatch County GOP Central Committee met and elected Jared Rigby as the new County Vice-Chair. We congratulate Jared. We want to thank Mike Smith for also running as a candidate. Jared will serve until April 27th. At that time, a County Convention will be held and there will be elections for all County Party positions.

Jared is a law enforcement officer and attorney and is employed as Chief Deputy to Sheriff Todd Bonner.   He began his law enforcement service in 2001 and has served in various capacities at the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office since that time.  He worked for two state prosecutor’s offices, served as a law clerk for two district court judges and clerked for the U.S. Air Force Area Defense Counsel at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.  He also served on North Dakota Law Review Board of Editors as he attended law school.

Jared has served as a chair in three Wasatch County precincts over the last sixteen years.  He was most recently serving in Precinct 22, one of the Timp Meadows precincts in Heber, where he lives with his wife, Krisann Moulton Rigby, and their children.

We greatly appreciate all those who helped make the 2017 Wasatch County Republican Party Lincoln Day Breakfast a great success. We thank all who attended, especially federal, state, and local elected officials. We appreciate the generous donors. We thank Rob Edwards and his staff at the Soldier Hollow Grill, members of the Wasatch County GOP Central and Executive Committees, the Heber City and Wasatch County Joint Honor Guard, all of the participants, winners, and judges for the Art and Essay Contests, the set up and clean up crews, photographers Mike and Sally Siggard, the UPS Store, Fox 13 News, Park City TV, and the Wasatch Wave. We are grateful to Sonnet Remund and her children's choir from Rhythmik Studio for sharing an inspiring and patriotic performance. We also extend a special thank you to Wallen and Jarom Magalei and John Ryszka for playing an amazing trumpet arrangement of the National Anthem. There were over 100 in attendance, and we received feedback from various attendees who really enjoyed the beautiful venue, the food, and the program. It is a pleasure to work with so many dedicated and patriotic residents of Wasatch County!
